By default, clicking on a channel while browsing Youtube loads the "Home" tab. This loads the "Videos" tab instead.

I want to thank you for including those screenshots. I don't know if I would've understood the bug if you hadn't included them.
Indeed, this is an issue. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, these types of links are processed differently from the others. I haven't figured out how to make them start on the videos tab, and it may not be possible -- not in the same way, at least.
I have added a "debug mode" that prints helpful information when you click on YouTube links. Maybe it will provide enough information for somebody else to figure out how to get this type of link to work. The screenshot shows hot to enable it in the tampermonkey dashboard.
It does not work when i left click on the playlist channel link on the search page or the channel link on the playlist page.
Tested on Opera and Firefox.
