I have a simple script request. Even though it’s simple, I couldn’t find anything like it after checking hundreds of userscripts and add-ons.

Script Idea: Quick Replay with Single Marker Shortcuts for YouTube Videos

Features:

Set Start Time Shortcut – Press a key to mark the start of a segment.

Replay from Start Time Shortcut – Press another key to instantly replay from that start point.

Optional End Time Shortcut – For users who want it.

Fullscreen Support – All shortcuts should work even in fullscreen.

Single Marker Mode – Always replace the previous start marker when marking a new one.

Why:
This would allow quick replaying of specific sections without relying on a GUI or end time\loop. Even though it’s simple, no existing userscript or add-on provides this functionality.

Your idea is extremely useful and for like 2 hours I've been trying to make that type of script, and I'll be honest, it did work but the function didn't wanna start. Though, it would definitely be beneficial for me too to have that type of script. So I'll continue trying to make it until it works!! :D

Hey! Thanks for accepting my request and taking the time to work on it.

I actually made a similar request on another script around the same time, and the author was kind enough to update their script to include the functionality I needed. Here’s the link in case you’d like to check it out or save yourself some time. That said, I’m still really interested in seeing how yours turns out if you decide to finish it!

By the way, I’ve got another script idea that came to mind after YouTube rolled out their new UI.

When you click the “Save” button to add a video to a playlist, the window that appears now closes as soon as you pick one playlist. In the old UI, it used to stay open, so you could add the video to multiple playlists without reopening the window each time. Now, you have to repeat the process for every playlist, which gets annoying fast.

It would be awesome if a userscript could bring back the old behavior so the window stays open until manually closed.
