I'm sorry that you're having a bad experience, if you could let me know which URL you were attempting this on, and exactly what "ads" you were seeing, I can take a look at it.
Rereading your comment, you state "The script seems to do nothing, and the site is about the same". The script will not be evoked until you click on its context menu item, in your userscript's context menu. Even then it only opens a new tab and uses that, it does not modify your current tab.

at best It seems to be doing nothing, at worst, it seems to be trying to download/show videos that are completely different, and what look like ads. The script seems to do nothing, and the site is about the same
