As said in the context, OP mentioned that, the free answer is given randomly by the site. This script simply kept asking it in a loop until the free answer is finally given. The script's timing settings are there in case the site changed its behaviour to never give the free answer if the query is asked repeatedly too fast.

Isn't there a different div/class/id you could use to track when the "paid" steps show up and when they don't?
I believe that there should be one and shouldn't be that hard to find...
