Sure it does, in groups where files are shared, and direct links can't be posted, they have to be shared in base64. Just search for PkgLinks1 on Reddit, and you'll see the script in action.
I'm using Old Reddit ; would that be why script isn't working on my side?
Yes, the script is designed for the new version of Reddit, so it's not compatible with the old version. You can wait for a version of the script that supports the old version, although I currently don't have time to provide support for it. I recommend using the new version of Reddit if possible.

Done! I added support for old Reddit. This script is intended for the web version and has not yet been tested on mobile. Enjoy, and I hope the script doesn’t fail XD.

Do you have any sample links we can test script against? I've never (knowingly) seen any redds masking text with base64.
