This script now also UNPAUSES intentionally paused twitch VODs when switching tabs, is there anything that can be done about it? The browser is Google Chrome.

This should now be fixed in 1.2.6

Updated the script but the problem persists.

I can't replicate this issue anymore. What steps did you take to have this effect?

I open up a Twitch VOD link that starts at a specific time. I pause the video and then I mute that video/tab. I switch to another tab and when I come back to the paused video, the video is playing as if I didn't pause it in the first place. It only happens once, the first time I do it. When I pause it again after that first time, then it stays paused. I'm on the newest version of Google Chrome, no other extensions installed besides uBlock Origin and Tampermonkey for the script. UBlock has no custom filters set or anything like that. I also have "Tab audio muting UI control" enabled in Chrome's experimental settings.

I have uploaded v1.2.7 which has an option at the top to disable the document.hidden logic. This should help your issue (I couldn't reproduce it even with your steps). There might however then be lower quality when you switch tabs

I suspect there may be a correlation between using FFZ and seeing the reported issue. I've been having the same issue, and after disabling FFZ the issue stops being reproducable.
I have yet to test specific FFZ settings being enabled/disabled in an attempt to narrow it down.
EDIT: Did a quick FFZ reset to rule out if a specific setting I have changed affected it. It did not. The issue is reproducable for me on a freshly reset FFZ configuration.

It's possible that other addons / scripts have their part in these issues.
Back when I initially created the script you only had to worry about Twitch's logic. Now it's Twitch + Chrome (or maybe other browsers) + other extensions. They all do something which might even be different depending on the version or even test experiments. It makes it really hard to find a solution which works on all systems equally without causing any issues on some.

Sorry, I forgot I also have FrankerFacez installed. Changing "doOnlySetting" to true does the trick. The video quality setting stays the same. I can also confirm that disabling FrankerFacez makes it work as intended without having to change the "doOnlySetting" line. I guess the twitch extension is somehow clashing with the script. Either way it works fine now, thank you for your help.
