Yeah - the result of organic development through THREE different codebases for planets.nu. Easier just to keep updating the old one and adding to it rather than refactoring :)
If you have a refactored version, would love to see it!

The script is ok, but the code is a bid "untidy" ... so I recoded the complete script, cleaned it and added a lot of stuff, maybe you want to adopt that ...
