I can see the appeal. The hover thing is kinda odd, but, better than nothing. BUT, I have to keep the layout "clean" for people that copy and paste the data into a spreadsheet. I may think of some form of improvement.
Request: Display previous value below/next to the current value
Instead of having to hover over each changed value, display the previous value (in unbold or strikethrough) below or next to the current value for a quick glance of all changed previous values.
