All it does is hide the trending news, suggested pages, and our page (if you have added a page to monitor) area and makes the main scroll down zone wider to accommodate the space left behind by the missing column. Everything is still left side justified. The blank space on the right side of the screen between the trending panel and the chat panel is still there.
