That's very weird, his script did work for me until I restarted my browser then all of sudden I could never get it to work again even tried reinstalling the script but nothing worked. Probably some kind of plugin conflict on my end then if his script is working for you. But yes I posted in my first comment a more aggressive script I believe, but I did generate it with AI so who knows. Not super experienced in coding at all in any languages. I just know that it did overwrite and apparently now works even with all the tons of youtube plugins I have on FF.

So if anyone needs to restore the old livechat and this script isn't working check my first comment for a fixed more aggressive version. I think perhaps this script could be over riding it, not sure maybe not though. I reccomend trying this out if you want the old UI back though. This script I've found is the best and actually restores the old ui without recreating the old UI in CSS if that makes sense. Also this script is amazing to use in combination with this handy plugin, also similar are available on Chrome just search for it if on Chrome.
