wdym by background? if you're referring to the inner fillings of tanks (not including the outlines) you could try removing 'stroke' on the first line. it's not perfect but generally works
this code is a bit weird, especially because i used bitshitfs instead of conventional multiplication. replace the ' >> 5' with '/ 32' and you can make it darker by making the 32 bigger
