A screenshot is not a proof as the info can be trivially forged in devtools. The original author should post the permission on some personal page e.g. on the info page of the original script.

@wOxxOm I think kakasearch(another author of this modified version) asked for the permission just in greasyfork, and maybe you can check their conversation. If he/she didn't do this in gf but in other platforms(like an email), I'll ask the original author again for permission. Thank you.
