Alt+Click to preview links in a floating window (Zen Browser Glance style)
🌀 Brave Zen Glance (UserScript)
Bring the power of Zen Browser's "Glance" feature to Brave, Chrome, or any Chromium-based browser.
This UserScript allows you to preview links in a beautiful, floating, minimalist window without leaving your current page or cluttering your tab bar.
✨ Features
Aesthetic Background Blur: When active, the background webpage is softly blurred and dimmed to keep your focus on the preview.
Frameless Design: No clunky toolbars or title bars. Just a sleek, rounded window.
Glassmorphism: Modern UI with smooth elastic animations and high-quality shadows.
Quick Actions: * Alt + Click: Open any link in Glance mode.
Escape or Click Outside: Instantly close the preview and return to your page.
🚀 How to Install
Follow these steps to set up Zen Glance in your browser:
1. Install a UserScript Manager
First, you need an extension that can run scripts. I recommend Tampermonkey.
Download Tampermonkey for Chrome/Brave
2. Create the Script
Click the Tampermonkey icon in your browser toolbar.
Select "Create a new script".
Delete all the default code in the editor.
Copy the code from zen-glance.user.js in this repository and paste it into the editor.
3. Save and Run
Go to File > Save (or press Ctrl + S).
The script is now active! Navigate to any website (like Wikipedia or YouTube).
Hold Alt and Click on any link to see it in action.
NOTE: THIS SCRIPT MAY NOT WORK ON SITES WHICH HAVE " X-Frame-Options: SAMEORIGIN or DENY " .
TO SOLVE THIS YOU NEED THIS EXTENSION:
Ignore X-Frame headers.
