LMArena | Floating Copy Buttons

Adds persistent floating copy buttons that stay visible while scrolling through long code blocks and messages. Now supports native Drag-and-Drop!

Why You Need This

Native copy buttons disappear when you scroll:

  • Code blocks: Button fixed at top - invisible when viewing the middle or bottom
  • User messages: Button appears on hover, vertically centered to the left - disappears when scrolled out of view
  • AI messages: Button buried in bottom action bar - requires scrolling to message end

This script keeps copy buttons visible wherever you are on the page.

What It Does

  • Code blocks: Floating button centered on visible portion
  • Messages: Buttons beside AI (right) and user (left) messages that follow as you scroll
  • Smart positioning: Adapts to screen space, avoids headers and input areas
  • Dual Action Workflow:
    • Click: Instantly copies to clipboard.
    • Hold & Drag: Drag the button to drop text directly into your IDE or notes.
    • Bonus: Dragging chat messages automatically converts them to clean Markdown!

Installation

  1. Install Violentmonkey, Tampermonkey, or Greasemonkey
  2. Install this script
  3. Visit lmarena.ai

Works immediately, no configuration needed.
