OldYTPlayer | YouTube Old Player UI Pre-2025 & Minimal Tweaks
YouTube Original Look
Minimal Tweaks
Lightweight
Description
This userscript restores the old YouTube video player UI by removing the "Delhi" experiment flags and brings back the familiar interface. It also provides a variety of toggleable tweaks for a cleaner, minimal UI experience.
Inspired by
Control Panel for YouTube
by Jonny Buchanan, this script is a free, lightweight solution for users who prefer the classic player layout.

1. Install a userscript manager (Tampermonkey, Violentmonkey, Scriptcat, etc.).
2. Click here to install OldYTPlayer.
Menu & Where To Find It
The OldYTPlayer menu is built gracefully into the bottom of the YouTube settings UI so it doesn’t conflict with anything. Open YouTube’s player settings (gear icon), then scroll to the bottom panel to find the script controls.

Menu panel with toggles

Annoyances section, located at bottom of OYTP settings.
Extra note on features: both Hide Sponsored Ads and Hide Share/Clips/Thanks toggles must be on to hide the "Join" button.
