Add Previous and Next buttons to Guardian (Cryptic) Crosswords
This script adds Previous and Next buttons to Guardian Cryptic Crosswords
It has always niggled me that I have to go back to the (not always so easy to find) index, refresh it, then click the next days puzzle, when obviously the URL is mostly just an increment/decrement of the current one.
For minimal intrusiveness, the links are implemented as < and > either side of the Heading.
It (hopefully!) handles weekends correctly, jumping over them. It's possible it might get confused at Christmas, where there isn't a publication.
It originally just did the cryptic, which is what I do, but I've now extended it. It hopefully works for most/all. Please let me know if not. It does funky logic for Cryptic and Prize, and the rest are just +1/-1
Hopefully they don't change the matching classes too often...
The screencap shows the link, but not the hover tooltip or the mouse hovering over the 'next' button.
