Universal Manual Blur

A tiny, manual tool that lets you draw blur regions anywhere on a page (text, images, video, or empty space) so you can hide sensitive content quickly and precisely. Client-side only.

How to use

  • Click Enter edit to start editing (the Edit button glows subtly while active).
  • Create a region: click New rectangle / New ellipse, or draw directly by dragging on the page while in edit mode.
  • Move a region by dragging it; resize with the corner/edge handles. Double-click a region to toggle rectangle ↔ ellipse.
  • Select a region to open its small contextual bubble with a per-region blur slider. The global blur slider in the toolbar adjusts all regions at once.
  • Remove a selected region with the Delete key.
  • Use Help for a short in-UI reminder.
  • Right-click the toolbar to copy a JSON snapshot of regions; use Ctrl+Shift+e to paste/import a snapshot.

Notes

If your browser doesn’t support backdrop-filter, the blur may not appear. Chromium, Edge and Firefox give the best results.
