Overview

This userscript adds Text-to-Speech (TTS) features to JanitorAI.com, allowing you to listen to both bot and user messages with customizable voices and playback options.

Features

  • Automatic TTS: Reads out the latest bot or user messages as they appear in chat.
  • Customizable Voices: Choose different voices for the bot, user, or set a default. Supports all browser built-in voices.
  • Playback Controls: Adds play/stop buttons to each message for manual listening.
  • Flexible Settings:
    • Enable/disable TTS
    • Narrate user messages
    • Skip code blocks or bullet points
    • Only narrate quoted text
    • Ignore text inside asterisks (e.g., emphasis)
    • Adjust playback speed
  • Settings Menu: Easily accessible from the chat menu for quick configuration.
  • Voice Preview: View all available voices with a keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Alt+V).

How to Use

  1. Install the script as a userscript (e.g., with Tampermonkey).
  2. Open a chat on JanitorAI.com.
  3. Access TTS Settings: Click the "Text to Speech" option in the chat menu to configure voices and options.
  4. Listen: Messages will be read aloud automatically (if enabled), or use the play button on each message.
