YouSnatch - YouTube Video Downloader

Description

YouSnatch is a simple userscript that adds a "Download" button next to the volume control on YouTube's video player, making it easy to download the highest quality video directly from YouTube.

Features

  • Adds a YouSnatch download button next to the volume control on YouTube.
  • The button is added after the page fully loads, ensuring a smooth experience.
  • Clicking the button displays an alert for downloading the video. (You can replace the alert with the actual video download logic.)

How to Install

  1. Install Tampermonkey or ViolentMonkey:

  2. Install the Script:

    • Create a new userscript in Tampermonkey or ViolentMonkey.
    • Copy and paste the script into the editor.
    • Save the script.

  3. Visit a YouTube Video:

    • Open any YouTube video, and you will see the YouSnatch button next to the volume control.

Usage

  • Once the page is loaded and the YouTube player is visible, the YouSnatch button will appear next to the volume control.
  • Click the button to trigger the download functionality (currently displays an alert message).

Note: The video download functionality is currently a placeholder, you can replace the alert with a download link once you implement the download logic.

Notes

  • The button is injected into the page after the YouTube player is fully loaded. The script will check for the volume control, and if it's not available immediately, it will retry after 1 second.
  • No changes to YouTube's user interface beyond adding the button will occur.
