A userscript that adds keyboard navigation to Google Search results, making it faster to browse results and open links.

Features

Quick Link Opening

  • Press 1-9 (or 0 for the 10th result) to open search results in background tabs
  • Hold Shift + number to open in a new active tab
  • Hold Alt + number to open in the current tab
  • Visual indicators show which number corresponds to each search result

Page Navigation

  • Press → (Right Arrow) to go to the next page of results
  • Press ← (Left Arrow) to go to the previous page
  • Current page indicator shows your position in search results

Visual Aids

  • Number badges next to each result
  • Current page indicator in bottom-left corner

Smart Input Handling

  • Shortcuts are disabled when typing in search box
  • Works with both number row and numpad keys

Usage Examples

  • Quickly open multiple results:

    Press 1, 2, 3 rapidly to open first three results in background tabs

  • Research with active tabs:

    Hold Shift + press 1 to open and switch to the first result

  • Quick preview in current tab:

    Hold Alt + press 1 to open first result in current tab

  • Navigate search pages:

    Use arrow keys to move between pages of results

Browser Compatibility

  • Should work in all modern browsers that support userscripts
