It will NOT effect the standard Gmail web app.
This script makes The old mobile Gmail web app look and feel more like a desktop website.
It achieves this by adding a sidebar to every page, instead of using a hamburger menu icon to open a full page menu. However, I didn't remove the hamburger icon completely because it is still useful for seeing your custom email tags.
The script imports the necessary style information, including styling to make each element more defined and easier to distinguish in its desktop-ified form.
It should work at most screen resolutions, just like the modern Gmail app.
"Why would you want to do this?" You may be asking.
To tell you the truth, you probably don't. it's missing quite a few features. In those features it lacks however, it gains performance. This version of the Gmail web app is the fastest one that I've found since the removal of basic html, so if your computer is quite slow, or you just want a snappy emailing experience on desktop, this script offers a solution.
