Select an item directly from the distillation list.
This UI-tweak script adds a "Select" link to the far right of each item's line in the Reduction Laboratory. Clicking one of these links will select the corresponding item in the item-selection dropdown, and set the "Number of times" field to the total count for that item.
The distillation isn't actually performed until you click "Distill Component", as usual, so you can still modify the text field if you don't actually want to distill all of them.
