Installation

  • To install the script, you will first need to install the Tampermonkey (Chrome), (Opera) or Greasemonkey (Firefox) extension/addon. Mac users can install Tampermonkey in the App Store
  • Once you have installed this extension, you can click install on this page.
  • This will redirect you to another page on which you can see the code in this script, click install on that page once again.
  • After installing the script, you will have to refresh EpikChat if you had it open beforehand

How does this script work

On some occasions, the chat "overscrolls" by 1 pixel, which causes the chat to scroll 1 pixel beyond the bottom of the scrollbar. This is not noticable but causes the chat to stop from automatically scrolling down.

This script will set the scrollTop property of the chatbox to 0 when this overscrolling happens, which will make the chat automatically scroll again.

UPDATE (12 October 2021): Epikchat has been contacted about this issue. I have added my investigation details to the report along with a potential quick fix UPDATE (21 October 2021): This will be solved in version 3.1

How to uninstall

To remove the script, all you have to do is click the Tampermonkey icon on top of your browser TamperMonkey icon and click Dashboard. On the dashboard you locate the script and click the trashcan icon trashcan icon
