Scratch that. Still works.
It was caused by these two filters from uBlock:
EasyList/uBO – Cookie Notices
- uBlock filters – Cookie Notices
AdGuard/uBO – Cookie Notices
- uBlock filters – Cookie Notices
When either of them is turned on, the SOCS cookie gets set to something like CAI....
When they're turned off, the userscript sets it correctly to CAE.
The uBlock filters have been fixed in https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets/issues/28735 and can now be turned on again.
Seems to have stopped working for google today.
