Feedless Facebook, inspired by Kevin Owocki's Feedless Facebook Chrome extension, hides the Facebook news feed behind a clickable button.

With Feedless Facebook, you can go to Facebook to post, search, shop, or chat, without the news feed interrupting you. If you do want to read the news feed, just click the button to open it up, or click again to hide it.

I wrote this script after noticing how the news feed would often distract and derail me when I went to Facebook to do something specific. The news feed has been engineered by experts at Facebook to capture attention, and in my case I found it doing that slightly too well. With the news feed hidden behind a button, and collapsed by default, it is much less distracting.
