Update: This bug appears to have been fixed. I myself no longer use this script, nor will I be maintaining it. I am leaving the code here for others to do whatever they want with it.

Gab.ai currently has a bug where sometimes you get disconnected and do not get new notifications. This fixes it by periodically checking the connection status and retrying the connection.
If you are disconnected the notification bubble will be grayed out until you are reconnected.
