Adds a simple toggle button to the top right of the screen that collapses the sidebar and forces the main content to take up 100% of the available width.

What it does:

  • Hides the sidebar (lol).
  • Forces containers (.content, .commentarea, .sitetable, etc.) to expand fully.
  • Uncaps text width limits so comments and posts actually use the extra space.
  • When you toggle the sidebar back on, the script stops overriding styles completely and goes back to default. so custom subreddit CSS works normally.

Notes:

  • Written for old.reddit.com.
  • Text can be hard to read if it stretches too wide. This is mainly for vertical monitors or if you zoom in a lot (like I do).
  • Some subreddits with heavy css might not work.
  • Enjoy the extra screen real estate!
