Description

Automate archiving Instagram posts on archive.today, archive.ph, archive.is, and archive.vn with a smart, CAPTCHA-safe queue system. Detect restricted or unavailable posts, auto-generate export filenames from Instagram usernames, and resume processing across page loads. Gentle WIP backoff and cross-tab scheduling ensure smooth, reliable operation for bulk archiving workflows.

Key Features

  • Instagram-Focused: Extracts usernames from Instagram post URLs to generate meaningful export filenames (e.g. username_restricted-or-unavailable-urls_YYYY-MM-DD.txt).
  • Import .txt (merge & replace):
    • Import .txt (merge) — append URLs from a .txt file (one URL per line) to the existing queue.
    • Import .txt (replace) — clear queue + processed + restricted lists (no full page reload) and replace the queue with URLs from the provided .txt file.
  • CAPTCHA-Safe: Detects CAPTCHAs and pauses processing to avoid automated interference; resume manually after solving.
  • Persistent Queue: Saves queue, processed and restricted lists in localStorage for robustness across reloads and sessions.
  • One-Click Export: Export restricted/unavailable URLs into a .txt file; filename is built from the most common Instagram username found in the exported URLs and the current date.
  • User-Friendly Overlay: Add, edit, import, pause, resume, export or clear URLs from a compact overlay UI.
  • Gentle WIP backoff & cross-tab coordination: Exponential backoff with jitter and shared scheduling prevents aggressive reload storms across multiple tabs.

How to Use

  1. Install via Tampermonkey/Greasemonkey.
  2. Open archive.today (or one of the mirrored domains).
  3. Open the overlay to add or import Instagram URLs (one per line or via .txt).
  4. The script will process the queue, handle pre-checks, submit, detect final states and mark URLs as processed or restricted.
  5. Solve CAPTCHAs manually if prompted, then click Resume in the overlay.
  6. Export restricted URLs easily — the filename includes the Instagram username and date.
