YouTube Watch Tracker v1.2

Tracks your YouTube usage in detail:

  • Session Time: Counts how long you've spent on YouTube overall (any tab or page)
  • Life Wasted: Counts only time spent actively watching videos (not paused or background)
  • Watched Count: Increments every time a new video starts playing
  • Daily and Monthly Statistics: Tracks total videos watched, time wasted, and session duration
  • Import/Export: Easily copy or paste your watch history as JSON

Usage Instructions

  1. Install this script with Tampermonkey or any userscript manager.
  2. Visit YouTube. The overlay will appear in the bottom-left corner.
  3. The overlay updates live as you watch videos or browse the site.
  4. Click Export to copy your stats to the clipboard (for backup or sharing).
  5. Click Import to paste a previously saved JSON dataset to restore your stats.

Privacy

This script stores all tracking data locally in your browser using localStorage. No data is sent anywhere.
