Overview

This user script adds a GPX export button to your Geocaching trackable search page, allowing you to download all your trackable locations as a GPX file. Perfect for visualizing your trackables in other mapping applications or GPS devices!

Installation

  1. Install a user script manager extension like Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey
  2. Click the install button on this page
  3. Visit your Geocaching Trackables page to see the export button

Usage

  1. Go to your trackable search page on Geocaching.com
  2. Look for the "Trackable GPX Export" box at the top of the page
  3. Click the "Export GPX" button
  4. Wait for the script to gather all location data (this may take a few seconds)
  5. Your browser will automatically download the GPX file
  6. Open the GPX file in your favorite mapping application or GPS device

Compatible Applications

The exported GPX file can be used with:

  • Garmin GPS devices and Garmin BaseCamp/MapSource
  • Google Earth
  • QGIS and other GIS software
  • OsmAnd, Locus Map and other mobile mapping apps
  • Many other mapping applications that support GPX files

Technical Details

  • Creates standard GPX waypoints with proper GPX 1.1 formatting
  • Each waypoint contains the trackable's current cache location
  • Custom extensions provide additional trackable-specific data
  • No data is stored or sent to third parties
