Fix for Milky Way Idle on Edge Canary (Android)

Microsoft Edge Canary (Android only) allows extensions to be used and for websites to be installed as PWAs, meaning they will launch full screen without any taskbars & be a separate icon on your Android homescreen 🐄

However, Milky Way Idle doesn't work perfectly on Edge Canary. The top section of the website is cut off when used as a PWA.

This script slightly resizes the site!

🛠 Installation Steps

  1. Download Edge Canary from the Google Play Store
  2. Install the extension Violentmonkey and the extension Tampermonkey in Edge Canary
    • ⚠️ Don't use Tampermonkey with this scaling script! I had issues with it breaking the script a bunch of times.
    • ⚠️ Don't use Violentmonkey with MWITools! I had issues with it failing to update market prices.
  3. Install the following scripts:
    • Install MWITools with Tampermonkey
    • Install MilkyWayIdle Edge Canary Scaler with Violentmonkey
  4. Navigate to Milky Way Idle and log in to your account.
  5. Install as a PWA
    • In Edge Canary settings, go to Add to phone → Install
    • This will install Milky Way Idle as a PWA.
  6. Open the newly installed PWA and enjoy!

❓ Troubleshooting

The script is set to scale around 12px, which fits my phone (S23 Ultra).
If the screen is pushed down too much or not enough, adjust the topSpacing value in the script.
Try reopening Milky Way Idle after making adjustments.
