PeakyTube requires Vorapis 2013 (V3) to function. Get it here: https://vorapis.pages.dev/#/

PeakyTube is a script that gives V3 a layout more suited for mobile devices. PeakyTube's layout is a custom designed one, and essentially brings the Hitchhiker layout (desktop YouTube layout used from 2013-2017) to mobile devices. It is not aiming to recreate an actual past mobile YouTube layout.

PeakyTube works on both Android and iOS.

----

Important things to note for all users:

-This script is made for the YouTube website, not the app.

-PeakyTube is made for phones. Not tablets, and especially not computers.

-With the exception of watching videos in fullscreen, PeakyTube is meant to be used with your device oriented vertically.

-PeakyTube is not compatible with StarTube, another script for V3 that I made (StarTube is only made for desktop YouTube anyway).

-You can access PeakyTube's settings by clicking on the gear icon on the appbar. The upload button has also been moved here.

----

Important things to note for Android users:

-You need a browser with extension support (like Firefox)

-Make sure request desktop website is DISABLED. Otherwise the page will be very zoomed out. PeakyTube will automatically redirect to the desktop website on its own.

-If the topbar glitches out, refresh the page a few times until it loads properly. The cause of this bug is currently unknown, and seems to only happen on Android in my testing.

----

Important things to note for iOS users:

-You need to use Safari with a userscript manager (just search for userscripts on the App Store)

-Make sure request desktop website is ENABLED. Otherwise the player will immediately crash whenever you try to watch a video. You can make Safari always load desktop YouTube by tapping the left part of the addressbar, tapping the threedot icon, scrolling down to "website settings for youtube.com", and turning on "Request Desktop Website".

-The player automatically pausing when not in fullscreen is out of PeakyTube's control and cannot be fixed. Safari seems to force the use of the default browser player, which is the cause of this behavior (this is also why it doesn't look like the YouTube player on iOS).

-It's recommended that you uninstall the YouTube app, otherwise Safari will keep pestering you to open the YouTube app instead.
