Brightness Overlay UserScript

This is a userscript designed for Tampermonkey that provides a brightness overlay functionality for web pages.

Purpose

The script allows users to apply a customizable brightness overlay to any web page, which can help in adjusting the visual appearance of content for better readability or personal preference.

Installation

  1. Install the Tampermonkey extension for your browser.
  2. Install the script from GreasyFork or by copying the code into a new Tampermonkey script.
  3. The script will be active on all web pages matching the specified patterns.

Usage

  • Press Alt + B to toggle the brightness overlay on or off.
  • Click the floating button (☀) in the bottom-right corner to open or close the control panel.
  • Use the slider in the control panel to adjust the brightness level from 0% to 100%.
  • Select a color using the color picker to change the overlay's tint.
  • Choose from predefined color temperature presets in the dropdown menu.
  • Use the quick preset buttons for common brightness levels (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%).
  • Click "Reset to Default" to restore the original settings.
  • The control panel will automatically hide after 8 seconds of inactivity.
