MouseHunt Improved is aimed at improving the MouseHunt experience. Each module can be toggled on or off on the Better MH tab of the settings screen.

Features

UI Improvements

  • Better UI
    • Updates the MH interface with a variety of UI and style changes.
    • Upscales the lucky catch icon
    • Scrolls to the top of the page when changing pages on the Friends page.
    • Automatically goes to the person's profile when you select a friend in the search.
    • Adds a quick rank and mouse points view to the tournament HUD when you hover over your points or rank.
    • Updates the tournament HUD to increase the size of the timer and always show the full name of the tournament.
    • Aligns the contents in the footer of pages to a bit better.
    • Improves the map invite popup when you're owner of multiple maps to look a bit better.
    • Updates the Scavenger Hunt map description to be correctly aligned and readable.
    • Updates buttons in popups to match other buttons.
    • Updates the scoreboard in the sidebar to be a bit more readable and look better.
    • Improves the search/filter dropdowns and results to be a bit more readable and look better.
    • Improves the send supplies page to show more items in each row, highlight the selected item, and resizes the categories listing and the items list to look better.
    • Updates the tabs on the journal on the Camp page to look nicer.
    • Replaces the Daily Draw, Larry's Tips and King's Calibrator to look much better.
    • Updates the team member listing to look a bit better.
    • Reformats the tournament listing page and single tournament view to be less cluttered and more readable.
    • Updates the trap/base/charm/cheese selectors and display to look nicer.
    • Updates the crafting, recipe, and other pages with tabs or subtabs to look nicer.
  • Better Inventory
    • Updates the inventory UI to look more modern.
    • Set max quantity for opening items when clicking on the owned quantity.
    • Fixes the Passing Parcel collectible display to match the other collectibles.
    • When hovering on an item in the Hunter's Hammer view, a preview of the items you'll get is shown.
  • Better Item View
    • Adds links to the Wiki, MHCT, and mhdb to the item popup.
    • Adds drop rates from MHCT inline in the item popup.
  • Better Journal
    • Updates the journal UI to look more modern, sleek, and streamlined.
    • Removes the date & time from entries like tournament points, unstable charm procs, etc. to be smaller and coupled to the hunt.
    • Updates the gift claim & return entries to be scrollable with a maximum height so they don't take up the entire page.
    • Modifies colors slightly for a variety of miscellaneous entries.
    • Updates the progress log to be more condensed.
    • Rewrites the journal to use simpler entries and clearer information.
    • Modifies the mouse image to open the mouse view, rather than just an image.
  • Better Marketplace
    • Allows you to open the search without typing anything
    • Removes useless items from the search
    • Auto-close the "I claimed ..." popup when claiming or closing a listing.
  • Better Mouse View
    • Updates the mouse view popup to look nicer.
    • Adds MHCT attraction rates inline.
    • Adds buttons to MHCT, MHWiki, and mhdb.
    • Adds a favorite button to the mouse view to toggle the mouse as a favorite.
    • Adds a link to your King's Crowns to the Mice menu.
  • Better Quests
    • If you don't have a Library Assignment, you can open the quest popup from anywhere and start one.
    • Fixes the smash assignment button to go to the correct page.
  • Better Send Supplies
    • Adds a search a filter to the Send Supplies interface. Allows favoriting items to show them at the top of the list.
  • Better Shops
    • Updates the Shop layout and UI.
    • Makes items stats more readable.
    • Minimizes owned items that have an inventory limit of 1.
    • Hides items that use legacy costs in the King's Cart.

  • Copy ID Button
    • Hover over your profile picture in the HUD for a quick 'Copy ID to clipboard' button.
  • Fancy King's Reward
    • After solving the King's Reward, the 'continue' button will automatically be clicked for you.
  • Location Dashboard
    • See location HUD information in a dashboard available in the top dropdown menu.
    • Currently supports:
    • Bristle Woods Rift (Current room, loot progress, and total sand)

  • Hover Profiles
    • Hover over a friend's name in your journal, inbox, or elsewhere and get a mini-profile popup with all their stats, interaction buttons, and everything you'd expect.
  • Image Upscaling
    • Uses high-res images with transparent backagrounds across the entire MH interface.
  • Inline Wiki
    • Clicking 'Wiki' in the menu will load it right in the page, rather than opening a new tab.
  • Inventory - Only open multiple
    • Lock opening things in your inventory unless you have multiple of them, which will still look the 'Open all'.
  • Quick Filters and Sort
    • Adds one-click filters to the Trap and Base selectors to show only specific power types.
    • Adds one-click sorting to the Trap, Base, Charm, and Cheese selectors to sort by Power, Power Bonus, Luck, Attraction Bonus, name, or quantity owned (for cheese and charms).
    • Modifies the Skins selector to show full size skin images.
  • Quick Send Supplies
    • Hovering over the Send Supplies button (including the ones on the Hover Profiles feature) will let you quickly pick an item, enter a quantity, and send it to the person.
    • Allows you to set four different items to be shown in the quick send supplies menu.
  • TEM Crowns
    • Updates the look of the Trap Effectiveness meter and display to be more modern and sleek.
    • Adds the attraction rate of each mouse to the TEM display.
    • Adds a crown image to each mouse, hovering over the mouse will show your total caught for that mouse.
  • Taller Windows
    • Makes popup windows taller.

Element Hiding

  • Remove Footer
    • Hides the footer.
  • Remove Share Buttons
    • Hides the share buttons.
  • Remove Sidebar
    • Hides the sidebar and adds a 'Sidebar' dropdown in the top menu.

Location HUDs

  • Balack's Cove
    • Shows a countdown to the next low, mid, and high tides.
  • Burroughs Rift
    • Adds a larger mist meter to the HUD.
    • For each of the three cheeses (Magical String, Terra Ricotta, Polluted Parmesan), the current available mice pool will be shown in the HUD, along with the ability to quickly change cheese.
    • Click on titles to change change, click on mist display to toggle mist.
  • Bristle Woods Rift
    • Modifies the size of the quantity and Time Sand displays to be a bit bigger.
    • Adds an indicator for each status effect so you don't need to hover over the mouse to see what it is.
  • Claw Shot City
    • Updates font sizes and colors to be more readable for Gangs Caught and Fool's Gold amount.
  • Fiery Warpath
    • Makes the wave number more clear.
    • Better highlighting of current target.
    • Cleaner tooltips.
    • Smoother streak guage.
    • Larger power type icons.
    • Larger artillery strike quantity font size.
  • Floating Islands
    • Adds countdown to the boss.
    • Adds glore progress to next upgrade.
    • Improves Bottled Wind selector.
    • Updates the font sizes and HUD alignment to be a bit more readable.
    • Makes your airship bigger.
    • Island name now matches the UI more closely.
    • Enemy names, countdown, hunts, and progress are all modified to be more readable.
    • Shrine in the first time gets highlighted.
  • Forbidden Grove
    • Shows a countdown to the closing time, rather than just a progress bar.
  • Fort Rox
    • Updates the night progress bar to be more clear.
    • Updates the tooltips to have more information.
    • Updates the wall HP display.
    • Font sizes and colors cleaned up.
    • Power types for each night phase are shown.
  • Furoma Rift
    • Battery, droid, stats, and energy displays are all modified.
  • Iceberg
    • Shows feet and number of hunts to the next zone.
    • Hover over the zone information to see:
    • Average feet per hunt.
    • Progress to the next zone.
    • Progress to Icewing.
    • Quick view of each zone with their length.
    • Warning if you're encountering Icewing and don't have a base equipped that would take you to the hidden Depths.
  • Living Garden
    • Essence quantities are bigger.
    • Item quantities are bigger.
  • Labyrinth
    • Show step counter for hallway.
    • Shows steps remaining in the hallway.
    • Shows average steps per hunt.
    • Hover over the hallway to see the number of clues for each hunt as an actual number.
    • Shows counts for each clue on the progress bar.
    • Improves the clue count view when hovering on the progress bar.
    • Suggests the best door to choose in intersections.
    • Reminds you to light your lantern if you're in a superiour hallway and it's not lit.
    • Slightly larger text for resources in the HUD.
  • Muridea Market
    • Larget font sizes and cleaner colors.
  • Queso Canyon
    • Larget font sizes and cleaner colors.
    • Wild Tonic will animate subtly to remind you to enable it if you don't have it on.
