Hypersubs provides an alternative way to set your Supersubs in
Fantasyleague.com's Classic Premier League fantasy football game.

Hypersubs automatically makes clear-cut choices for you, like fielding all
of your full backs when you have no more than two active in a set of fixtures.
On those few occasions when you have to leave an active player out, Hypersubs
lets you choose. If you want, Hypersubs can also highlight your defenders' dangerous fixtures.

Below is a screenshot of a complicated situation, in which lots of your players are playing at the same time and you have to make choices in various positions. You click on the unselected players to move them onto the pitch. Assuming you've built anything like a reasonable squad, most kickoffs are much simpler than the one shown in the screenshot, and all you have to do is click Next to confirm the lineup that Hypersubs automatically suggests.

Other features:

  • Adjustable user preferences. For instance, you can change which opponents Hypersubs highlights as dangerous for your defenders to play against.
  • The subs confirmation page highlights non-playing players more clearly.
  • Direct links to the subs page from the Your Teams section so you don't have to go through the default team screen.
  • Shows a Transfers Left column on Friends & Enemies and Premier League pages.
  • A More Info button allows you to conveniently access some pertinent info about each of your teams (points, position, transfers remaining, and whether subs have been set).

INSTALLATION

You'll need to use either Firefox or Chrome as your browser.

Installation in Chrome

  1. If you have a pre-August-2014 version of Hypersubs (v0.1.x) from the now-defunct Userscripts.org installed, remove it first.
    • E.g. like this: Settings --> Extensions --> Options (under TamperMonkey) --> Installed Userscripts --> click on the trash can next to the old Hypersubs.
  2. Make sure you have a recent version of Chrome (v36.0 or newer compatible)
  3. Install a recent version of the Tampermonkey extension
    (v3.0 or newer compatible)
  4. Click on the Install link above on this page, and when prompted, make sure you choose to install Hypersubs as a Tampermonkey script and
    not to "process with Chrome".
  5. Go to the Fantasy League site's Supersubs page, and Hypersubs will start automatically. If you experience any problems, you can report them here
    on Greasy Fork.

LIMITATIONS AND DISCLAIMERS

This version of Hypersubs is intended to be compatible with the Fantasyleague.com Classic Premier League competition as of August 2014. Other competitions are not supported.

Hypersubs relies on the existing structure of the Fantasy League web site.
It will stop working properly -- possibly without any warning! -- as soon as
Fantasy League change how their Supersubs pages are structured.

Use at your own risk. This program was written as a personal exercise to learn
the basics of a few technologies. It may well have bugs. Always be sure to
check the Fantasy League site or their confirmation email to be certain that
everything went right!

KNOWN ISSUES

If you use Chrome, the main Hypersubs window may change location in an odd-looking
way when you first load up the Supersubs page.
