This script closes the old tab, if a new one with the same URL emerges.
On Firefox you might need to open about:config and set allow_scripts_to_close_windows to true.

Disclaimer: This script isn't completely tested, I can't guarantee for anything. Also, it might be completely stupid to run such a script. But that's up to you.
